Ms. Emma “Jewel” Coleman Howell, age 84, of Rome, GA, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Jewel was born on May 4, 1940, in Rome, GA, daughter of the late Bud Coleman and the late Gladys Coleman. She was also preceded in death by her son and his wife, Michael and Sandy Kovach. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a nurse at Harbin Clinic. In her spare time Jewel enjoyed square dancing and was a member of The Western Promenaders Square Dance Club. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister, she will be missed by all.
Survivors include her daughter, Michele Holder; her grandchildren, Kristian Holder (Triston Williams), and Tommy Clark (Stephanie); her great grandchildren, Ecco Clark, Atticus Holder-Williams, and Tatum Williams; her sisters Patsy Stewart, and Chee Chee Paris.
In accordance with her wishes, Ms. Howell will be cremated.
A graveside memorial service and inurnment will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 2:00pm, at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
