Mrs. Fannie Justice Youngblood, age 79, of Rome, GA, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024, at a local hospital.
Mrs. Youngblood was born on March 24, 1945, in Rome, GA, daughter of the late John Franklin Justice and the late Blanche Drummond Justice. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Byron Keith “Buck” Youngblood, Sr., and by a sister, Johnette Justice Haynes. Mrs. Youngblood was a graduate of Pepperell High School. She was employed with the Floyd County School System as a bus driver for over 14 years before her retirement. Mrs. Youngblood was a social butterfly who never met a stranger. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grands and great-grands. Mrs. Youngblood was an avid Bingo player and took her game very seriously. She was a self-proclaimed shopaholic, especially at her favorite store, Belk. Mrs. Youngblood was a member of Eden Valley Baptist Church and is now rejoicing the in the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ, for eternity.
Survivors include her 2 children, Lisa Lance (Michael), Rome, and Keith Youngblood, Jr. (Jamie), Cave Spring; 3 grandchildren, Kayla Terry, Kayce Camp (Ryan), and Parker Youngblood; 4 great-grandchildren, JoAnna Lance, Addyson Landrum, Emmett Camp and Millie Kate Camp; 2 siblings, Hilma Ortwein (Jimmy), and James E. Justice; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, August 29, 2024, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Dale Byars officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.
Pallbearers are to assemble by 10:30am on Thursday at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, and include: Ryan Camp, Levi Holcomb, Jason Landrum, Kenyon Gillespie, Tony Tucker, Stanley Steed, Cody Tucker, Stacy Martin, and Jason Ortwein
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the care takers and staff at Renaissance Marquis as well as the doctors, nurses, and staff of ICU East and the 3rd floor of Advent-Redmond Hospital, for their tireless care and compassion of Mrs. Youngblood.
