Christopher Keith Ellis, 53 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he chased down and attempted to stab another man with a box cutter at the Hop N Shop on North Broad Street.
Police said that Ellis was recorded running down the victim and repeatedly slashing the knife at him.
Ellis is charged with aggravated assault and parole violation.
