Michael Anthony Vitello, 41 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he punched a police officer’s face.
Reports added that the incident came after threatening to do violence to a second officer.
The incident occurred at his home on Rosemont Drive.
Vitello is charged with two counts felony obstruction and simple battery against a police officer.
