Don’t let your child miss out on all the fun of the fall sports season with Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation. There is still time to register for fall sports but the registration period is rapidly coming to an end.

Registration for tackle football, flag football, cheerleading, baseball, softball and t-ball ends on August 9. Regular registration fees for all sports are active until August 4, so be sure to register now before registration fees increase. Last chance registration is from August 5 to August 9.

Parents can register their children by coming to our offices at 1 Shorter Avenue on Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. or by going to our website at rfpra.com and clicking on register. Registration for volleyball ends on Aug. 23. For any questions regarding sports registration, visit rfpra.com.

“One of the things we do every year is open up registration for all of our sports the first week of January, so parents have plenty of time to register their kids and take advantage of the early registration discounts,” Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Director Todd Wofford says. “We also don’t want families to not register their kids just because of financial reasons. We have assistance available for families so that all kids have a chance to play their sports.”

Along with registration, Parks and Recreation is also looking for football, cheerleading, baseball, softball and t-ball coaches as well as officials for all of those sports. If you are interested in coaching or officiating, please contact Jeremiah Blanton by email at [email protected].
