Loiton Dyrus Mercer Jr, 57 of Rome, if facing numerous drug charges after reports said he was found with marijuana inside the Floyd County Jail after being taken into custody on other drug charges.
Reports said that Mercer was taken into custody after police found him in possession of marijuana and Gabapentein pills.
After arriving at the jail, Mercer allegedly had additional marijuana in his possession.
Mercer is charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug related objects, possession and sale of dangerous drugs and crossing the guard line with drugs.
