Quavonna Nyjia Wade, 22 of Cedartown, was arrested this week when reports said she attacked an elderly victim after arguing over their power bill.

Reports said that officers were dispatched to a home on Canal Street in reference to the altercation.  Police said that when they arrived on scene they met with the victim.   The victim proceeded to tell police that she had called the suspect into her room to tell her that she needed to give her some money for the power bill due to it was going to be disconnected.

It was at that point that Wade allegedly became angry and started to yell in her face.   Wade is then accused of refusing to let the victim leave the room.  When she again tried to leave, Wade is accused of punching her with a closed fist.

Wade then proceeded to leave the home and was later found near the  Polk School District Central Office where she was taken into custody.

Wade is charged with simple battery and false imprisonment.
