Lashawnda Nicole Brown Monroe, 44 of Cedartown, was arrested this week after reports said she attacked her elderly aunt during a dispute over the TV remote control.
The victim told police that Monroe got “made” over the tv remote control. The victim stated that Monroe hit her with a closed first on the top of the head. Monroe proceeded to bend the victim over a couch in the living room.
Officers stated that they observed a scratch on the left side of the victim’s neck and ear.
Brown Monroe is charged with simple battery and elder abuse.
