Mrs. Sadie Beatrice Ozment Pettis Vick, age 98, of Rome

Mrs. Sadie Beatrice Ozment Pettis Vick, age 98, of Rome, GA, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at her residence.

                Mrs. Vick was born in Floyd County, GA, on March 27, 1926, daughter of the late John B. Ozment and the late Grace McCool Ozment. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Vick, her son, Stanley Pettis, her daughter, Sharon Pettis, and her sister, Urlean Ozment. Prior to her retirement, Sadie was employed with Fox Manufacturing Company for 24 years. She was a member of North Broad Baptist Church.

                Survivors include her son, Wayne Pettis; her 2 grandsons; her 3 great grandsons; 1 great granddaughter; 2 great-great granddaughters; 2 great-great grandsons; her brother, Lavonne Ozment; several nieces and nephews.

                Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 3:00pm at North Broad Baptist Church, with Pastor Micah Prichett officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery.

                The family will receive friends at North Broad Baptist Church from 2:00pm until the hour of service at the church.

                Pallbearers are asked to assemble at the church by 2:30pm and include: active, Tony Pettis, Blue Pettis, Lane Pettis, Blake Pettis, Everett Pettis, Anthony Pettis; honorary, Phillip Pettis and Mike Ozment.
