A 74 year-old Chattooga County man, Eric Scoggins, died on Friday after drowning in Subligna.
According to Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader: On Friday evening around 4:40 Emergency responders were dispatched to a residence on Narrows Road regarding a male who had flipped his boat in his pond, went underwater after a few minutes and had not re-surfaced. Sheriff’s Office personnel met with Fire services from Subligna fire dept on the scene. A Subligna firefighter and a Sheriff’s investigator entered the water and located the victim.
