Mrs. Mary Maxine Findley, age 83, of Silver Creek, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at a local hospital.

                Mrs. Findley was born in Floyd County, Georgia on August 1, 1940, daughter of the late Charles Clark, Sr. and the late Alice Ables Clark.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William Eugene Findley, by three children, Jeffrey Findley, Pamela Henderson, and William D. Findley, and by two brothers, Charles “Bo” Clark, Jr. and Franklin Eugene “Sonny” Clark.  For many years, Mrs. Findley was a private sitter, and she was a member of Silver Creek Methodist Church.

                Survivors include a son, Nathaniel Findley (Marjorie); daughter-in-law, Sarah Findley; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

                Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 12:30pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Pastor Michael Holt officiating.  Interment will follow in Rome Midway Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

                The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home on Thutsday from 11am until the service time.

                Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday at 12pm and include, Andrew Findley, Davey Findley, Charlie Findley, Seth Henderson, Blaze Baggett, and Brad Clark.
