Mr. Timothy James Obenlander, “Timmy” age 21, of Rome, GA, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
Timmy was born in Rome, GA, on November 12, 2002, son of Mr. Timothy Guy Obenlander and Mrs. Denise Grissom Obenlander. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edward James Obenlander and Laura Ann Obenlander, and his uncle, Wesley James Obenlander. Timmy was a graduate of Coosa High School class of 2021. He was employed by International Paper for 2 years. Prior to that, he worked at Lowes, and volunteered at the Humane Society.
Timmy was passionate about everything. He played games, weight trained, worked, and loved, with passion.
He was respectful, kind, loyal, and loved. His smile and laugh was contagious. Timmy was always surrounded by friends that would do anything for each other. He was a born-again Christian and is now rejoicing in the presence of His Savior for eternity.
Survivors include his parents, Tim and Denise Obenlander, Rome; Maria Lon, his forever love, Rome; 3 siblings, Brad Owens (Brittany), Rome; Jacey Palmer (Bryan), Henagar Al., and Sierra Owens Cook, Rome; maternal grandparents, Ken and Margie Grissom, Cedar Bluff Al; 2 nephews and a niece, Mason Cook, Kasyn Owens and Tatum Owens; his aunt and uncle, Debbie Hughes (Frank) , and Wayne Obenlander (Lisa); numerous cousins, extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5pm until 8pm on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm EST, on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Fellowship Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow in Weiss Lake Memorial Gardens in Gaylesville Al.
Pallbearers are to assemble by 12:30pm on Saturday at Fellowship Baptist Church and include: active, Nick Threadgill, Elijah Smith, Caleb Smith, Alex Caranza, Xaiver Brown, Justin Hammons, Seth Crowe, and Jaxon Thomas; honorary, Jordan Mitchell, Kaden Pickard, and Caleb Nichols.
