Mr. Ronald R. Lynch, Sr., age 92, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024.
Ronald was born in Floyd County, Georgia on June 13, 1931, son of the late Cyrell Crawford Lynch, and the late Jessie Marie Selman Lynch. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara H. Lynch, infant son, James Crawford Lynch, sister, Joyce Martin, and brother, C.C. Lynch, Jr.
Ronald graduated from Armuchee High School class of 1949. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. Ronald retired from the Floyd County Sheriff Department within the Floyd County Court System after 30 years of service. Ronald was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend and he will be missed by all. He loved his many friends and extended family. Ronald loved life and was blessed to have the love of his family & friends.
Survivors include his daughter, Becky Dunagan (Tommy); son, Ronald R. Lynch Jr. (Debbie); grandchildren, Jonathan Lynch, Jennifer Yagyu (the late Ken Yagyu), Marie Cook (David), Daniel Dunagan (Maggie), Nicholas Lynch, and Zachary Lynch (Courtney), thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, with the Rev. Ronald Lynch, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel on Wednesday, from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm.
Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Wednesday at 1:30 pm and include; Active: David Cook, Daniel Dunagan, Rob Yagyu, Jonathan Lynch, Nicholas Lynch, Zachary Lynch.
