Mr. Paul Naylor Loveless, Sr., age 78, of Rome, GA, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at a Chattanooga Hospital.
Paul was born in Rome, GA on March 19, 1946, son of the late Guy Waldon Loveless, Sr. and the late Frances Elizabeth Gresham Loveless. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Guy, Harry, Gary, and Dale Loveless and a son-in-law, Darin Poovey. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy.
Survivors include his children, Duane Loveless, Diane Poovey-Mobley (Charlie), Stephanye Yadkowski (Richard), and Paul “Nate” Loveless, Jr.; his grandchildren, Beth Crane (Nick), Courtney Witherspoon (Adrian), Devin and Dracen Poovey, Samuel, Anna, and Julia Yadkowski; his 5 brothers, James Loveless, Henry Loveless, Phillip Loveless, Michael Loveless, and David Loveless; several nieces and nephews.
Paul was funny, quick-witted and he was just an all-around easygoing person to be in the presence of. He was a loyal Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs fan, a Jeopardy buff and animal lover. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends, as well as his three beloved dogs, Abby, Lulu and Rush (aka Big Boy).
In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Loveless will be cremated and a memorial service at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, with the Rome American Legion Honor Guard presenting military honors will be at a later date.
