Kathy Minshew (Nana), flew into the arms of waiting angels, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 26, 2024.  She was 72 years old.

Kathy was born in Rome, Georgia on November 4, 1951, daughter of the late James Minshew and the late Evelyn Shaw Minshew.  She graduated from Model High School in 1969.

Kathy worked in the insurance industry adjusting and settling claims, secretarial field at the City of Rome, and in medical billing.  She was a kind and giving person.  Her children, grandchildren, and great grandson were the loves of her life.

Kathy is survived by her brother, Ken Minshew (Tammy), her daughter, Stephanie Choate (Kevin), her son, Dan DiPrima (Hannah), granddaughter, Lyndsey Sapp (Ben), grandson, Talan DiPrima, great grandson, Bentley Sapp; one uncle, Lewis Minshew; many cousins (Ferguson’s, Garrett’s, Kerr’s, Minshew’s, and Waddell’s).

The following people are recognized for holding a very special place in her heart: Doris Allen’s family, Robbie Armstrong’s family, Keith Godfrey’s family, Danny Ray Mathis’ family, Richard Tucker’s family, Jonathan Godfrey, and her recovery family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 4pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.  Pastor Joey Haynes will officiate and Jonathan Godfrey will deliver the eulogy.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Sunday from 2pm until 3:45pm.
