Timothy John Lee Baldwin, 33 of Cave Spring, was arrested this week after reports said that during a dispute with his 23 year-old girlfriend he hit her on the side of the face with a closed fist.
The attack also left the victim with visible injuries to her upper back shoulder.
The incident occurred at his home on Fincher Street.
Baldwin is charged with simple battery.
