Rev. Larry David “Bo” Bohannon, age 78, of Rome, GA, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024.

                Rev. Bohannon was born in Gordon County, GA, on September 2, 1945, son of the late David Craton Bohannon and the late Opal White Bohannon.  He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Ann Edwards Bohannon, a daughter-in-law, Jan Bohannon, a granddaughter, Marlowe Treglown, a great-granddaughter, Raegan Bohannon, and by 2 sisters, Ann Stephenson and Debra Bohannon.  Rev. Bohannon retired from Comcast after a dedicated career of over 32 years as a construction supervisor. He was founder and Pastor of Little Flock Church.

                Perhaps best known as “Santa Bohannon”, Rev. Bohannon was known far and wide for portraying Santa in various malls across the Southeast. His kind heart and loving disposition only added to this persona, even getting recognized and approached in Sam’s and CVS. Rev. Bohannon loved his family above all else. He was always more focused on helping others over himself. Rev. Bohannon loved hunting, fishing, tinkering and was a jack -of-all trades. He was extremely self-reliant and was a self-taught carpenter, electrician, mechanic and could rig anything he put his mind to. Rev. Bohannon had also become quite the skilled gardener, growing his own tomatoes and various other plants.

                Survivors include his wife, Brenda Quarles Gulledge Bohannon, Adairsville; 2 sons, David Bohannon (Amanda), and Tim Bohannon (Connie), both of Rome; 3 stepchildren, Roy Anthony “Budge” Gulledge (Anita), Connie Harris, and Brandon Gulledge (Christy); 2 brothers, Gene Bohannon (Joanne), and Jeff Bohannon (Cindy); 5 grandchildren, Chris Bradfield (Candie), Brad Bohannon (Kayla), Alex Bohannon (Torie), T.J. Bohannon and Allison Holcomb (Brian); 2 great-grandchildren, Maddox Bradfield and Braylee Bohannon; 9 step grandchildren, Heather, Luke, Sophia, Ella, as well at 5 more; 2 step great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

                Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, with his grandson, Rev. Chris Bradfield, officiating.  Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

                The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, from 5pm until 7pm at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel.

                Pallbearers include: David Bohannon, Tim Bohannon, Brandon Gulledge, Brad Bohannon, Alex Bohannon and T.J. Bohannon.
