The Floyd County winter guard teams competed at the SAPA Championships on April 6-7 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to wrap up their seasons.
Pepperell High School placed 2nd in the novice division winning the silver medal. Model High School placed 3rd in the novice division, winning the bronze medal.
Both Coosa High School and Coosa Middle School had teams represented at the event, and CHS took 4th place in the SRA division.
Armuchee’s JV team took 4th place in Novice division, and Armuchee Varsity was promoted mid-season to compete in the advanced Scholastic A division.
“Congratulations to our winter guard teams, coaches, and parents on a successful season,” said FCS Superintendent Dr. Glenn White. “Our fine arts programs are truly performing at a high level, and it is a testament to our incredible coaches and instructors at all schools, at all levels. Their talent and dedication do not go unnoticed, which is evident in championships like SAPA. Great job to everyone involved.”
