Timothy Shane Wesson, 42 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he stole $1,577 worth of electricity from Georgia Power.
Reports said that Wesson’s power was disconnected in February for nonpayment. Then on March 25th, Georgia Power was altered to the home for tampering on its power meter seal. When they arrived at the home to investigate they discovered that the seal had been removed and Wesson was stealing electricity.
Wesson is charged with felony theft of services, obstruction, and damaging or interfering with public utility companies.
