Kiante Treyviante Rakeem Jackson, 21 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he discharged a firearm near Reservoir Street while in the middle of a housing area.
Police added that when they arrived on scene Jackson attempted to run from them in an effort to avoid arrest.
Jackson is charged with reckless conduct, discharging a firearm near a public roadway and two counts obstruction.
