The largest indoor crowd in the history of Rome gathered on Saturday as President Donald J. Trump held a “Get out the Vote” rally at the Forum in downtown.
Organizers said that nearly 5,000 individuals packed the arena as well as hundreds watching from a live video feed outside on the town green hoping to get a glance at President Trump.
Despite the Floyd County Democratic Party issuing a statement early Saturday morning asking people to stay way because “Trump supporters are violent” numerous police sources told CVN that there were no issues of any kind reported in the downtown area all day.
President Trump was joined by 14th District Congresswoman Majorie Taylor Green, Congressional candidate Bryan Jack, Congressman Mike Collins, GA Lt. Governor Burt Jones, Senator Jim Jordan and David Perdue with speeches of their own.
Trump told the crowd that he would debate President Joe Biden at anytime. He also spoke on immigration and honored the memory of murdered UGA nursing student Laken Riley, inflation, the Wars in Ukrake and added, “if we win Georgia, we win the Presidency”.
