Christopher Clay Barger Sr, 40 of Lindale, was arrested this week after reports said he choked a 26 year-old woman to the point she no longer could breath.
Police added that Barger refused to allow the woman to leave the home on East 2nd Avenue while also taking her phone and letting her call 911 for help.
Additionally, Barger is accused of telling the victim that he was going to “shoot her between the eyes”.
Barger is charged with aggravated assault, battery, false imprisonment, terroristic threats and acts along with obstruction of a person making a 911 call.
