Rome Man Jailed for Nearly Choking Woman to Death

JaJuan Marquis Hunter, 23 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he nearly strangled a woman to death.

Police said that Hunter placed both hands around the victim’s neck, squeezing and causing strangulation.

The victim had visible marks and bruising around both sides of her neck and all the way to the backs of her ears

The incident occurred at an apartment on Etowah Terrace on January 17^th,

Hunter is charged with aggravated assault.
