Ms. Brenda Mull Gravitte, age 74, of Silver Creek, GA, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, at her residence.

                Ms. Gravitte was born in Atlanta, GA, on October 24, 1949, daughter of the late Marvin Courson and the late Mary Hooper Courson Arnold. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Brock.  Ms. Gravitte was a graduate of Pepperell High School after attending Douglasville High School for the majority of her schooling.  Before her retirement, she was in property management overseeing an apartment complex in Summerville, GA.  Ms. Gravitte also worked for a time at Gayley & Lord as well as working as a caterer for many years.  

                Ms. Gravitte was the glue that held her family together and loved cooking for them.  She was reserved to an extent but would put you in your place if needed.  Ms. Gravitte was the one to talk to, always offering her ear to anyone that needed some advice or just someone to vent to. She would do anything for you and give you the shirt off her back if it was all she had.  Ms. Gravitte was the epitome of “Mom” and would take in and become a second mother to anyone who needed it.

                Survivors include her 3 children, Jenifer Farmer (Jason), Tommy Mull (Michelle), and John Mull (Nona); brother, Jerry Courson; sister, Teri Cataldo; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

                In accordance with her wishes, Ms. Gravitte will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 4pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel. The Rev. Gary Diggs will officiate the service.

                The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2pm until service time at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.
