Mr. Herbert Graham, age 78, of Silver Creek, GA, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at his residence.
Mr. Graham was born in Laurens County, GA, on October 11, 1945, son of the late Virgil Graham and the late Hazel Barber Graham. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Alton Graham, Chester Graham and Danny Lee Graham. Mr. Graham was a graduate of Adrian High School in Adrian, GA, and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was an entrepreneur for his entire working career, owning and running many different businesses, some alongside his wife. Mr. Graham was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America, the American Legion and Gideons International. He was a member of Crosspoint Community Church in Aragon, GA.
Mr. Graham was the true definition of a southern man. He loved hunting, fishing, driving his tractor and four wheeling. He enjoyed all types of farm work from mending fences to taking care of cattle and livestock. Mr. Graham loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, above all else. He kept his Bible with him always and even had one in his truck. Mr. Graham would help anyone that needed it and would give you the shirt off his back if that was all he had. He is now rejoicing in the Lord’s presence for eternity.
Survivors include his wife, Debra “Debbie” Tolbert Graham, Silver Creek, to whom he was married on August 18, 1982; 2 sons, Joey Graham, Cartersville, and Dustin Graham (Mallory), Henegar, AL; 4 grandchildren, Grayson Colt Graham, Remington Wyatte Graham, Lexie Rhea Graham and Madison Claire Champion; his brother, Freddie Graham (Linda); numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 4pm on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel. The Rev. Gary Diggs will officiate, and the American Legion Post #5 Honor Guard will present military honors.
The family will receive friends from 2pm until service time on Tuesday at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.
