Kimberly Dawn Rose: A Symphony of Joy and Resilience
1988 – 2024
In the quiet hush of winter, just as January whispered its last, the soul of Kimberly Dawn Rose, aged 36, took its leave from Rome, Georgia, her lifelong home, on January 30, 2024. Born into this world on January 2, 1988, to the loving embrace of Lona Diane Oneal Rose and the late James Hershel Rose Sr., Kimberly was a melody set in motion under Georgia’s embracing skies.
Kimberly, whose early years were nurtured amidst the verdant hills of Rome, inherited the earth’s deep-rooted strength and the sky’s boundless optimism. Though born into silence, her life was a vibrant dance of colors and joy. The absence of sound in her world only amplified the vividness of her spirit, a spirit that spoke in a language more profound than words.
A beacon of joy and resilience, Kimberly’s life was a testament to the strength of the human spirit. She was preceded in death by her father, James Hershel Rose Sr., and her beloved grandparents, Hershel and Frances Rose, and Milledge and Eula Oneal, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and her cherished family dog, Dollie.
Surviving Kimberly is her mother, Diane, the steadfast beacon in her voyage; her sister, Leslie Hayes (and spouse Zachary); her brothers, Jamie and Eddie; and a constellation of nieces and nephews who basked in the glow of her endless love.
Kimberly was a Southern Woman in all its resplendent hues – born and cradled in the heart of Georgia. Her journey at the Georgia School for the Deaf was not a path of limitations but a runway to her dreams. Her smile, a radiant sunbeam, dispersed the shadows of strangers, turning them into friends.
Her passion for life extended to wrestling, where she was an active enthusiastic member and Mega Fan of the local Wrestling Federation.
A visitation service to honor and celebrate Kimberly’s life will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, 2750 Shorter Avenue, Rome, Georgia. The funeral service will follow on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Dry Creek Baptist Church, 150 Dry Creek Church RD NW, Adairsville, Georgia. Pastor Bill Towe will officiate, and Phillip Quarles will speak in remembrance of Kimberly.
Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Pegg, Scotty Wilbanks, Corey Hudgins, Marty Duncan, Jamie Rose, and Eddie Rose. Honorary pallbearers will be Zachary Hayes and Stetson Lowe.
While Kimberly’s time on Earth was brief, the impact of her joyful spirit and boundless love will be everlasting. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. In the journey of her life, Kimberly was both a pilgrim and a beacon, leaving behind a trail of light and love. Her absence is a quiet space in the melody of life, yet her spirit resonates in the hearts she touched – an eternal echo of joy and courage.
Parnick Jennings Good Shepherd Funeral Home is honored to manage the arrangements for Kimberly Dawn Rose, a remarkable woman whose memory will forever be cherished.
