Over the past week on two separate occasions over the past week authorities in Cedartown have found the body of two homeless men.
According to Polk County Coroner Norman Smith, the first body was discovered on February 13th in a wooded area off Irwin Street. The body was later identified as 58 year-old Anthony Hale. His body has been sent to the GBI pending an autopsy.
The second body, an unidentified male, was found on February 19th in a wooded area near Dollar General on North Main Street. His body was also sent to the GBI crime lab for identification and an autopsy. Authorities said that it appeared that the man had been deceased for several days before being found.
Cedartown Police said that no foul play is suspected in either case.
