An inmate at the Floyd County Jail, Chase Ladon Posey, 22 of Adairsville, is facing additional charges after fighting with a jailer who was attempting to place him into a padded cell following him making suicidal comments.
Posey is now charged with obstruction of law enforcement.
Chase Ladon Posey, 22 of Adairsville, was arrested this week after reports said he beat his 70 year-old mother at his home on Autrey Road.
Reports said that the victim suffered “visible and substantial bodily harm”.
Reports went on to say that Posey is also accused of threatening a victim saying that he was going to send a group of his gang members to kill her.
Posey is charged with battery, terroristic threats and acts and probation violation.
