Thomas Lee Harris, 64, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024. Born to the late Thomas Melvin Harris and Doley Lee Fowler Harris on October 8, 1959, in Rome, GA.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Doley Harris, and his sisters, Sherry Harris and Dorothy Dulton. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his wife, Tina Harris; his son, Thomas (Amanda) Harris; his stepsons, Bradley Cordle and Tyler Watkins; his beloved grandchildren, Nate Harris, Zander Harris, Kyle Harris, Karleigh Harris and Jaclyn Harris; his adored great-grandchildren, Raylynn Harris and Paisley Harris; his sister, Regina Harris Evans; and his aunt, Dee Fowler.
A die-hard University of Alabama and NASCAR fan, Thomas’s enthusiasm for sports was only eclipsed by his love for his family. Known for his masterful cookouts, Thomas reveled in gathering friends and family for joyful celebrations. Despite his quiet and laid-back demeanor, Thomas’s warmth shone through in his interactions, especially with those who took the time to get to know him. He cherished the moments he spent with his wife, Tina, as much as he enjoyed gatherings with friends and family.
Thomas found inspiration in the teachings of Evangelist Jenson Franklin. Professionally, Thomas was a skilled welder at Church Chairs of America. He took great pride in his work.
A viewing visitation for Thomas will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, followed by a memorial service at 7:30PM at Parnick Jennings Good Shepherd Funeral Home. The service, led by Pastors Michael Head and Thomas Harris, will be a celebration of a life.
Thomas’s memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew him.
