Mitchell Llyod Troyer, 33 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he fought with officers while refusing to answer their questions during an investigation at a store on Garden Lakes Blvd.

Authorities stated that Troyer was acting in an unruly manner before striking a patrol car and kicking, hitting, grabbing and pinching an officer. He was also found in possession of a knife while committing the acts.

Police added that Troyer caused a knee injury to an officer while resisting arrest.

He is also wanted for crimes he allegedly committed in Indiana.

Troyer is charged with two counts felony obstruction of police, possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime and disorderly conduct.
