The City of Summerville Police and Fire Departments have named their officer and firefighter of the year.
Summerville Police named Officer Matt Wilson and said, “We would like to congratulate Officer Matt Wilson for being named our Officer of the Year. Officer Wilson’s commitment to his work helps to make Summerville a safer place”. The Summerville Fire Department named Mickey Floyd as Fireman of the year and said, “We would like to congratulate Sergeant Mickey Floyd for being named the our Fireman of the Year. His dedication to duty sets an example for all of the personnel at the Summerville Fire Department”.
The Officer and the Fireman of the Year are both nominations of full-time personnel for consideration as overall Summerville City Employee of the Year.
