Antoine Deshaune Peak, 31 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he pulled a gun on another person while they were sitting inside a car and then proceeded to discharge it.
Numerous citizens, including children, were in the area, Rising Fawn Trail, where the incident occurred.
Peak, a convicted felon, is lawfully prohibited from owning a handgun.
Peak’s actions caused over $500 in damages to the vehicle.
Peak is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, reckless conduct, giving false information to police, 2nd degree criminal damage to property, a seat belt violation, possession of marijuana and being a fugitive from justice.
