Virgil Jim Massingill, 47 of Kingston, was arrested this week after reports said he threatened his stepson with a knife.
Police said that Massingill pulled a pocket knife on the victim, opened it, and then threatened to use it against the victim.
The incident occurred at his home on Bunratty Way.
Massingill is charged with terroristic threats and acts.
