Alex Steve Jolly, 20 of Centre, was arrested at the Dollar General in Cave Spring after police said he scanned item tags for a lesser amount than what they were priced.
After arriving at the jail, deputies said that they found suspected cocaine inside a dollar bill in his wallet.
Jolly is charged with theft by shoplifting, possession of cocaine and crossing the guard line with drugs.
A second person was also with Jolly, Srah Kaitlin Wines, 22 of Cave Spring, who was also charged with theft by shoplifting.
