Mrs. Christine Kelly Childers, age 82, of Lindale, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at a local hospital.
Mrs. Childers was born in Rome, Georgia on March 5, 1941, daughter of the late Clarence Kelly and the late Inez Garland Kelly. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Franklin Childers, by a great granddaughter, Kasiah Grace Sindorf, by a sister, Jenny Trammell, and by two brothers, Stanley Kelly and Floyd Kelly. Mrs. Childers was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church. Prior to retirement, she worked in food preparation for Piggly Wiggly. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was very caring and always had time for her family.
Survivors include two daughters, Sara Sindorf (William) and Lisa Myers (Lee); five grandchildren, Brittany Cheatwood, Drew Sindorf, Nikki Carver (David), Lauren Myers, and Kasey Myers; six great grandchildren, Kilan Cheatwood, Braylen Sindorf, Sailor Sindorf, Cale Roberts, Rylee Parker, and Fable Carver; two sisters, Linda Eden and Mary Ellen Reynolds (Charles); several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 2pm at Cave Spring Cemetery. The Rev. Stevie Waddell will officiate.
Pallbearers are asked to assemble at the cemetery on Wednesday at 1:45pm and include William Sindorf, Kilan Cheatwood, Roy Trammel, Barry Trammell, Chuck Reynolds, Jake Williams, Danny Franks, and Drew Sindorf. Honorary: Lee Myers and Sailor Sindorf.
