Mr. James Billy “Bill”, “Skin” Waters, age 89, of Rome

Mr. James Billy “Bill”, “Skin” Waters, age 89, of Rome, GA, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at his residence.

            Bill was born in Walker County, GA, on March 28, 1934, son of the late Sam Jefferson Waters, and the late Katie Lou Harmon Waters. He was also proceeded in death by his brother, Richard “Shorty” Waters.

            Mr. Waters is survived by his wife, Jerry Jacks Waters; his sons, Randy Waters (Laurel), and Rick Waters; his grandchildren, Jake Waters (Erin), and Erin McKinney (Kyle); his three great grandchildren, Harriet and Thomas Waters and Sylvie McKinney; his sister-in-law, Raynell Waters; his nephews, Stacy Waters (Deborah), of Rome, GA and Marney Waters (Norma), of Marietta, GA; several cousins residing in Georgia and Florida. 

            A private family graveside service will be held at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens at a later date. 

            The family request rather than sending flowers, consider making a memorial contribution to Heyman Hospice. In addition, the Waters family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation to Mr. Waters’ caregivers, Margaret Keith and Tiffany Barton. LOVE THY NEIGHBOR & PRAY FOR PEACE.
