Brandy Michelle Pope, 33 of Silver Creek, was arrested this week after reports said she helped a man steal a car from The Trail in Lindale.
Police said that Pope knowingly and willingly drove to a location on The Trail in Lindale and dropped off James Colby Ray in order for him to steal the car. She then followed the stolen vehicle to a location on Doyle Street for him to drop it off. She then proceeded to pick him up and then drove to McDonald’s where they used the victim’s credit card to buy dinner.
The incident occurred on July 20th.
On September 15th, Pope is charged with stealing a box of Pop-Tarts from the Family Dollar in Lindale.
Pope is charged with party to a crime and theft by shoplifting.
