Mr. Roger William Barnes, age 69, of Rome

Mr. Roger William Barnes, age 69, of Rome, GA, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2023, at a local hospital.

                Roger was born in Menlo, GA, on March 08, 1954, son of the late Edward Barnes and the late Joyce Gardner Barnes. He was also preceded in death by his precious wife, Debra Barnes.

Mr. Barnes worked at the Floyd County Recreation Department and Kraft/Inland Container. He was a jack of all trades. Roger was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be missed by all.

                Survivors include his son, Roger B. Barnes (Metina); his daughter, Whitney N. Culberson (Ashly); his son, Aaron B. Barnes (Christina); his grandkids, Austin, Maddison, Kyle, Savanah, Jessie, Jada, Adrianah, Irelan and Hazel; his 3 great grandkids; his brother, Wendel Barnes (Lynn); his sisters, Gail Cordel (Phillip) and Deborah Gable.

                The family will have a Celebration of Life for Mr. Barnes on Friday, October 6, 2023, at The Pocket Campground at 5:00 PM. The family requests that if you would like to bring a covered dish, please do so.
