Mr. Charles Glinn Salmon, age 80, of Silver Creek, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at a local hospital.

                Mr. Salmon was born in Floyd County, Georgia on November 23, 1942, son of the late Roy Edward Salmon and the late Clara Simpson Salmon.  He was also preceded in death by seven siblings, Lynn Salmon, Katherine Loveless, Billy Gene Salmon, Junior Salmon, Larry Dean Salmon, Bobby Salmon, and Patty Ann Justice.  Mr. Salmon worked for a number of years as a union carpenter.  He was of the Church of God faith.  Mr. Salmon loved working in the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish.

                Survivors include his wife, Linda Justice Salmon; three children, Cynthia Denise Edwards (Mark), Wendy Wynette Smith, and Charles Randall “Randy” Salmon (Michelle); seven grandchildren, Amber Smith, Clint Edwards, Ashley Blevins (Jonathan), Anna Bell (Allen), Bradyn Salmon, Jayce Salmon, and Grayce Salmon; seven great grandchildren, Kaden Beasley, Wyatt Blevins, Jessalyn Blevins, Halleigh Bell, Benton Bell, Cole Bell, and Jace Bell; two sisters, Betty Allen and Cheryl Salmon; nieces and nephews.

                Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at 4pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Michael Edwards and the Rev. Chris Hall officiating.  Private interment will be held later at Floyd Memory Gardens.

                The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Sunday from 2 until 3:45pm.

                Pallbearers will include Bradyn Salmon, Jayce Salmon, Clint Edwards, Jonathan Blevins, Allen Bell, and Mark Edwards.
