Mr. Bobby L. Haislip, age 73, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023.  He was born on May 17, 1950, to the late Wilfred and Gladys Haislip.He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Patricia (Patsy) Haislip, and a brother, Donald Haislip.  

       Survivors include his daughters, Jill Thacker (Clint) and Jennifer Haislip; his grandchildren, Kearstin Schmidt (Jake), Beau Thacker (Meghan), Brody and Catherine Lynn; great-grandchildren, Cannon and Callen Schmidt and Carter Lane Thacker; sisters, Peggy Eden (Bob) and June Daniel (Wayne); a brother, Tommy Haislip (Sue); nieces and nephews that he loved like his own; friends he adopted as family, and his dog, Candy.

       He was a veteran of the United States Army and spent his life working in construction, with the majority of time being at Smithson Builders, Inc. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, mowing the grass, fishing, and watching his grandchildren participate in sports.  

       The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, on Friday evening from 4:00-7:00 pm.  

       Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 11:00 am at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, with the pastors Bob Agan and Brad Prater officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.  

       Pallbearers are requested to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, on Saturday morning at 10:30 and include Clint Thacker, Beau Thacker, Jake Schmidt, Larry Ashley, Chris Ashley, Kevin Ashley, Steve Beaver, Steve Bates, and Mark Davenport.

       The family would like to extend their gratitude and love to Scott and Lori Camp and Ryan Underwood. They are especially grateful for Larry, Chris, and Kevin Ashley, Steve Beaver, Steve Bates, and Mark Davenport for providing Bobby with his first deep sea fishing trip that he truly enjoyed and all they did for him and his family.  Please continue to keep these men in your prayers.
