Phyllis Ann Little Williams, age 76, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, September 11, 2023.
Phyllis was born in Carroll County, Georgia, on September 25, 1946, daughter of the late Charles Hoyt Little and the late Marie Savannah Pollard Little. She spent her childhood growing up in Tallapoosa, GA. Phyllis worked for Rome Bank & Trust, Rome Kraft, Floyd County School’s as a bus driver for 20 years, a bookkeeper with Williams Angus Farm & Calhoun Stockyard, and was a homemaker for her family that she was most proud of. Phyllis was a member of Everett Springs Baptist Church where she played the piano for many years. Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her family, and she will be missed by all.
Phyllis loved cooking for her kids and grandkids. She loved to do anything that involved her family. Phyllis loved her church and was a faithful and devoted member. She was the matriarch of the family. She was like a mother figure to many of her extended family. Phyllis was the heart of her home and family. She always made everyone feel welcomed, loved, and special. She was humble, kind, generous, and loved like Jesus.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her brothers, Dennis Little and Jerry Little.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Gene Williams; sons, Michael Williams (Shelby), Adam Williams (Jenny), and Jacob Williams (Natalie); brother, Tim Little (Reatha); 12 wonderful grandchildren, Owen (Railey), Wade, Evalyn, Colton, Katelyn, Harrison, Jackson, Luke, Rhett, Gunner, Vivienne, Ella and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 11:00am at Everett Springs Baptist Church, with Pastor Steve Drake and Chaplain David Thornton officiating. Phyllis will lie in-state from 10:00am until service time. Interment will follow in Everett Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Everett Springs Baptist Church, on Friday at 10:30am and include: Owen Williams, Wade Williams, Colton Williams, Harrison Williams, Jackson Williams, Luke Williams, Rhett Williams, and Gunner Williams.
