The Horticulture program at Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) will hold a Fall Mum Sale Monday, Sept. 18, through Thursday, Sept. 21, outside of Building L, located across from GNTC’s Floyd County Campus in Rome.
The sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday or until plants sell out. The plants are located in a fenced area outside of Building L. Buyers should stop by Building L if no one is outside with the mums, said Nick Barton, director of GNTC’s Horticulture program.
The mums will cost $6 each, and colors include yellow, red, bronze, white and lavender. Large mixed pots will also be available for $25 each.
The sale is a way for GNTC to contribute to the community that also gives Horticulture students real-world experience, Barton said.
All proceeds from the plant sale will benefit the Horticulture program at GNTC. Purchases may be made with cash or check and credit cards are not accepted.
