B.J. Helton, 39 of Huntersville, AL, was arrested in Rome after reports said he engaged in an online conversation of a sexual nature with someone he thought to be under the age of 16 years-old.

Police said that Helton sent the child photos of his penis before setting up a spot to meet up in Rome so that the two could engage in sexual relations.

He was taken into custody at the arranged meeting spot.  While officers were arresting Helton they found him to be in possession of meth and a glass smoking device.

Helton is charged with aggravated child molestation, electronically furnishing obscene materials to a child, use of a computer to solicit a child to commit a felony, possession of meth and possession of drug related objects.
