Aubrey Randall Pitts, 61 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he refused to identify himself to police while they were investigating a domestic dispute.
Reports said that Pitts refused to tell police his identity to verify if he was wanted for active warrants.
He was taken into custody at his home on Spring Creek Street.
Pitts is charged with obstruction.
