Qualifying for the upcoming municipal elections for seats on the Rome City Commission wrapped up Friday. Voters will have a chance to determine the fate of the city by electing seats in Ward 1 and Ward 3 this November.
Ward 1 will feature challengers Harry Brock and Charles Love. They will vie for seats that are currently occupied by incumbents Sundai Stevenson, Jim Bojo and Mark Cochran. All three incumbents are running for re-election.
Ward 3 will feature challenger Wayne Robinson as well as incumbents Bill Collins, Craig McDaniel, Bonny Askew.
The top 3 vote-getters in each ward will take a seat on the Rome City Commission.
Ward 2 seats are not being decdided in this election cycle.
