Alenea Nicole Reaves, 47 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she was found allowing two children to live in a home covered in feces, bugs, and trash.
Officers said that after arriving at her home on West Center Road they detected a strong urine and feces smell throughout. They added that each room in the home was infested with roaches, flies, and gnats.
Reports added that trash, old food, dirty clothing, silverware, and dishes were found lying all around the home.
Roaches were also found inside the refrigerator.
Officers went on to say that exposed wiring was also found throughout the home.
Reaves is charged with two counts 1st degree cruelty to children.
