The Cav Spring Community Coalition, which established the Cave Spring Learning Center as an alternative education opportunity following the closure of Cave Spring Elementary School, will be back for the 2023 school year.
“The closing of the school left a huge void that is now being filled by the Cave Spring Learning Center. The school, in a city as small as Cave Spring, is the heart of the community and the CSLC will certainly help in attracting young families to our community which ultimately supports economic growth for our city”, says Tom Lindsey, Cave Spring Council Member.
The CSLC has begun registration for new and returning students for Fall 2023 in grades K-12. The school campus will continue to be hosted by the First Baptist Church of Cave Sping.
The CSLC partners with the Georgia Cyber Academy for its academics. The CSLC will, however, provide structure and learnaing coaching for all students while taking classes.
The Georgia Cyber Academy is a state-funded charter school whose mission is to provide an interactive virtual learning environment designed to support individualized and differentiated student center educational experiences serving students from Kindergarten through 12th grae.
While the GCA is provided at no cost, the CSLC does have a small monthly tuition in order to provide learning coaches and other expenses associated with running a small school.
