Mrs. Maria Luiza Meza-Almaras, of Lindale, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at her residence.
Mrs. Meza-Almaras was born in Sinton, Texas, daughter of the late Jose R. Meza and the late Manuela Nova Meza. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Librado N. Meza (Maria), and Gregorio N. Meza (Mary Jane). She was of the Catholic faith. Prior to retirement, she worked as a secretary at a bank in Texas.
Survivors include her husband, Rutilio Almaras; siblings, Raul N. Meza (Mary Jane), Adelina Meza-Guevara (Jose), Jose Meza, Jr. (Olga), and Jose Manuel Meza (Paula); nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 1pm at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Cedartown. Interment will follow in Rome Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Wednesday from 10am until 12 noon.
