Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley – Another deserving family will soon achieve the dream of becoming homeowners with the help of Habitat for Humanity.

A groundbreaking was held Sunday, May 21st in Aragon on the 60th home for the affiliate, the second home in Polk County that will be built for a local family of three.

Betsy Allgood, executive director for Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley, said she is excited for their newest partner family. Our donors and volunteers are giving Simone and her children an opportunity to build a better future, and this groundbreaking symbolizes the change that will happen for the three of them.

Habitat builds simple, affordable homes for low-income working families. Families must complete up to 300 Sweat Equity hours building their house and the houses of others. This labor reduces the cost of the house while building positive relationships between our partner families and the community.
