As Opening Day quickly approaches, Rome Braves fans can look forward to a brand-new food and beverage experience at AdventHealth Stadium for the 2023 season. Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH), which owns and operates the Rome Braves and 16 other Minor League Baseball clubs, today announced a partnership with global sports and entertainment company Oak View Group (OVG) to upgrade hospitality at the stadium.
OVG Hospitality, the food and beverage division of OVG, will streamline daily operations, implement technology solutions to bring faster service and an overall more seamless fan experience, and rebrand and refresh the F&B program. The OVGH team will infuse creativity, fun, and familiar regional favorites across menus and concepts. New food and beverage elements at AdventHealth Stadium include: The Coors Light Chill Zone, Sweet N’ Boozy Ice Cream, Marco’s Pizza, two Grab-N-Go Kisoks, and cashless payments. Chick-Fil-A will also be returning to the ballpark.
“Fans can look forward to delicious food, exciting new concepts, shorter lines, faster payment, and better-trained staff so that they can get down to the business of why they came – to watch great Rome Braves baseball with their friends and family,” Tami Prescott, OVG Hospitality’s General Manager, AdventHealth Stadium, said.
OVG Hospitality will also be providing amplified food and beverage services at five additional MiLB stadiums owned by DBH from the east coast to west coast, including: Excite Ballpark / San Jose Giants (San Jose, CA), Trustmark Park / Mississippi Braves (Pearl, MS), Riverfront Stadium / Wichita Wind Surge (Wichita, KS), and Momentum Bank Ballpark / Midland Rockhounds (Midland, TX).
“These five MiLB stadiums mark the start of what we expect will be a productive, long-term relationship with Oak View Group,” David Lane, Rome Braves General Manager, Diamond Baseball Holdings, said. “In the last year and a half, DBH has acquired more than a dozen MiLB clubs, and we’re just getting started. We brought in OVG Hospitality, with their expertise and best-in-class service, as a partner because they understand the opportunity to not only improve the fan experience but invest in and grow the league.”
OVG Hospitality manages food and beverage services at more than 350 venues globally, including various MLB, spring training, MiLB, Triple-A and Double-A facilities: Hohokam Stadium in Mesa, AZ – spring training home of the Oakland A’s; Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in Scottsdale, AZ – spring training home of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies; MGM Park in Biloxi, MS– home of the Biloxi Shuckers, the Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers; Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park in Albuquerque, NM – home of the Albuquerque Isotopes, the Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies; Werner Park in Omaha, NE – home of the Omaha Storm Chasers, the Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals; NBT Bank Stadium in Syracuse, NY – home of the Triple-A Syracuse Mets; Truist Point in High Point, NC – home of the High Point Rockers; and Harbor Park in Norfolk, VA – home of the Norfolk Tides. Oak View Group also manages venue operations at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, PA – home of the Philadelphia Phillies.
“Fans will have an entirely new hospitality experience at AdventHealth Stadium,” Ken Gaber, president, OVG Hospitality, said. “Everything from new uniforms to delicious food and beverage, OVG Hospitality is bringing a novel approach to concessions. And, drawing from our deep experience in sports and entertainment, specifically from our F&B operations at other baseball stadiums across North America, we’re re-engineering menus to offer fresh new concepts. With our shared commitment to and belief in nurturing the MiLB ecosystem, it was clear from the onset that Diamond Baseball Holdings and OVG would be partnering for a long time to come.”
